In an attempt to keep everyone up-to-date on my progress, I've decided to TRY a blog.
With work and everything else going on, I find I don't have quite enough hours in a day to keep everyone informed.

A little back ground...on July 28th I had a biopsy and on July 29th I was diagnosed with moderately differentiated infiltrating ductal carcinoma. (Breast Cancer)  Tests indicate it is an aggressive tumor, good news is I caught it fairly early.

Ok, so....GREAT news today...my PET scan came back and there is no other cancer in my body (just the lump originally found).  Yay!!!!  Quite a relief, I guess I was a little more worried than  I thought.  Prayer works wonders!!

I have an appointment on Monday with my surgeon and should get a date then for my surgery and whether I will have chemo before or after my surgery.

Thank you all so much for your words of encouragement and prayers, they are GREATLY appreciated!

Penny,

The blog is a great idea! I do one for my husband (www.thetathams.blogspot.com) who was diagnosed with cancer 3 years ago.

With the help of family, friends, and lots of prayers, you will get through this! It's amazing how we find the strength when we need it.

Penny, you have been in my prayers. What good news from your PET scan. God DOES answer prayers! You will continue to be in my prayers every step of the way. Thank you for keeping us up to date on 'your journey'. Ginny

Dallas & I are praying for you and your family. We realize you have a rough road ahead but with God by your side to give you strength, you will get through it stronger than before. I'm sure you know you have a family of Christians pulling for you at our church and in other churches. Just take one day at a time. We love you and your family. Anything we can do, just call. Love, Dallas & Rita
